1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how UNET VPN (“Service”, “we”, “our”) processes information when you use our iOS VPN application, website, and related services.
This policy is intended to satisfy App Store requirements for VPN apps, including transparency about what we collect, why we collect it, and how users can control their data.
2. Data We Process
Depending on the feature used, we may process the following categories of data:
- Account identifiers (for example API key, internal user ID, subscription plan state).
- Device/session identifiers (for example device code, HWID, app/device technical identifiers).
- Service metadata (selected location, protocol, session status, diagnostics and error state).
- Payment/subscription metadata (transaction status, plan activation status, non-sensitive billing events).
- Support data that you submit directly (messages, optional attachments).
We do not sell personal data.
3. VPN Traffic and Logs
We do not inspect the content of your VPN traffic and we do not keep browsing history logs for advertising or profiling purposes.
- No logging of website/content payload data.
- No sale of browsing activity.
- Operational telemetry is limited to service integrity, troubleshooting and abuse prevention.
4. Why We Process Data
- To authenticate users and activate subscription/trial access.
- To establish, maintain and troubleshoot VPN sessions.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized account/device use.
- To provide support and resolve technical incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Apple In-App Purchases and RevenueCat
For App Store subscriptions, payment processing is handled by Apple. We receive transaction status and entitlement metadata required to activate service access.
We may use RevenueCat as a subscription management processor to validate and synchronize entitlement status across sessions. RevenueCat processes data according to its own privacy and security terms.
6. Data Sharing
We share data only when necessary to operate the service:
- Infrastructure providers and hosting partners (service delivery and security).
- Payment/subscription processors (Apple, and subscription processing partner).
- Support/communication providers, if needed to process your support request.
- Authorities where disclosure is legally required.
7. Data Retention
We retain account and service records only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal/accounting obligations.
8. Security
We implement technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for a VPN service, including access control, secure transport, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is absolutely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum digital consent age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. International Processing
Your data may be processed in countries where our providers operate. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing of your personal data. You may also request account/key deactivation.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version is always published on this page.
